Character Survey/Massive Headcanons (WIP)

I've been meaning to do this for a while with any of the Fatal Frame characters or any character as a matter of fact. Since Misaki happens to be the one of the few that I have massive headcanons for, as well as being my only character here atm, I have tried to begin filling this out.

Will I ever finish it, I may never know.

Keep in mind that Fatal Frame 4 (or the entire series actually) is not very well known and may contain spoilers for those interested. Along with that, I only worked with what I've know and seen about Misaki (not to mention take some inspiration from some japanese fanart) so her character might seem a little off.
This also contains shitloads of headcanon about not only Misaki but other characters as well.

Body and Appearance
1. Describe the character's height and build. Is she heavyset, thin, short, rangy?
While Misaki’s around average height for the common American folk, she’s considered to be tall in Japan, standing at around 5’6” without her heels on. Along with her height, she has a slight hourglass figure, usually attracting some of the boys (and sometimes girls) at her high school. Misaki also had always been a slim person her whole life, although she’s had chubby cheeks as a little girl.

2. How old is she?
In the events of FF4, she’s recently turned 17, the last of her group of friends to do so.

When she starts out in Route 29, however, she is currently 18 as she’s spent a year back home before arriving.

3. Describe her posture. Does she carry herself well or does she slouch?
Misaki has a lot more confidence than most Fatal Frame girls so she puffs out her chest instead of leaning over like she was hiding something. When she gets frightened, however, then she reclines the confidence level in a bit.

4. How is her health? Is she fit or out of shape? Any illnesses or conditions? Any physical disabilities?
Misaki is fairly healthy and somewhat fit. She's not an amazing runner (like most female Fatal Frame protagonists) but she could go long distances at a fairly slow rate.

As for illnesses, Misaki has had an illness called Getsuyuu Syndrome since childhood years. She's considered to be one of the very few actual survivors of the disease, although her life was almost claimed on two separate occasions. She was eventually cured the night Ruka played the Tsukimori Song, which cured, or at least relieved most of the symptons, both Ruka and Misaki, as well as allowing the spirits of the island to pass over. Even parts of the disease still affected Misaki, most of that was left behind when she came to Route 29. Her mirror phobia and behavior changes around the moon, however, might still linger around.

5. How does she move? Is she clumsy, graceful, tense, fluid?
While Misaki tends to walk pretty casual and maybe even cautious at some points, her running tend to be a bit girly like most Fatal Frame protagonists (yes, even the guys--well two out of three of them). It tends to be rather frustrating, especially since she doesn't seem to move any faster and not get anywhere.

6. How attractive is this character physically? How does she perceive herself in the mirror?
As Misaki’s image fits society’s usual standards of beauty (feminine, slim, tall, big breasts, etc.), she is considered to be highly attractive by people and is fully aware of this. While she does consider herself to be drop-dead gorgeous beautiful sexy pretty, it really isn’t something for her to actually brag about. Hell, the only time she brags about it is when she teases Madoka, who just looks like a normal Japanese woman with a moe-like aura surrounding her. However, it doesn’t stop her from teasing people with the kinds of clothing she wears.

Ironically, Misaki isn’t the type to stare at herself in the mirror all the time. Actually, she’s pretty much fucking terrified to look in the mirror most of the time. As her childhood case of Getsuyuu Syndrome is still haunting her, she’s had visions of her face being all distorted and unrecognizable, a known symptom of the disease. If that didn’t make sense, another way to put it was that it felt Misaki was seeing a disfigured, haunting image of herself. Being seven when that symptom appeared, it has deeply affected her since childhood to the point her eisoptrophobia was one of the few things that subconsciously stayed in her mind after she lost memories of her childhood.

7. Describe her complexion. Dark, light, clear, scarred?
Her skin is fairly light and is free from any acne, freckles and scars.
Well, the scar part is kind of false. It's not too obvious but Misaki has faint surgery scars on her scalp when she had to deal with experimental brain surgery as a child. Of course, Misaki didn't know the sources of those scars and didn't know they exist until she regained most of her memories. Well, to be honest, she probably still doesn't know she has them but it wouldn't be surprising (but very frightening) to the girl if she does find out.

8. Describe her hair: color, texture, style.
Misaki has the darkest non-dyed hair color out of her group of friends, being black and all. She hasn’t made any attempts in dyeing her hair like Ruka so it’s completely and naturally black.
Her hair style is pretty different than her friends’ hair: it isn’t completely layered and choppy like Ruka’s, cut into a bob haircut like Madoka’s or Marie’s and isn’t kept long like Tomoe’s. Instead, Misaki’s hair is completely chopped off in the back and her bangs are kept to its original length so it looks as if her bangs are longer than the rest of her hair.
Even as a little girl, Misaki had the same hair style as she does now, though the lengths were somewhat closer to each other than it is now.

9. What color are her eyes?
Gray, though it may seem black at first glance.

10. Does the character have any other noteworthy features?
Other than having bigger boobs than the average Japanese woman, no.

11. What are her chief tension centers?
Head.
She can get painful, throbbing headaches whenever she’s remembering one of her repressed memories or is dealing with a lot of emotions at once.

12. What is the character's wardrobe like? Casual, dressy, utilitarian? Bright colors, pastels, neutrals? Is it varied, or does she have six of the same suit?
While mostly dressy, Misaki's wardrobe can stem from being not so flashy (her default) to COVER UP YOUNG LADY, especially compared to her friends' wardrobes. She has numerous of outfits (including kimonos for festivals) back home but tends to wear her default outfit since it happens to be one of her favorite outfits. Living in Japan where most schools have uniform policies, Misaki also has a school uniform that, while she doesn't really mind wearing it, makes her feel a little bit nerdy, especially when she has her glasses on.
Misaki's wardrobe tend to consist of color-neutral elements, black being her most frequent color.

13. Do her clothes fit well? Does she seem comfortable in them?

14. Does she dress the same on the job as she does in her free time? If not, what are the differences?
Considering how Misaki probably hasn't worked a sweat in her life yet, it's unknown. Most likely she'll be more formal and less flashy depending on the job, as much as she dislikes it.
At the moment, Misaki goes up for several part-time jobs depending on the city she's in so her work uniform varies.

15. You knew it was coming: Boxers, briefs or commando?
Panties. Not going to even explain on this.

Fatal Frame has no shame in fanservice.

Speech
1. What does this character's voice sound like? High-pitched, deep, hoarse?
Misaki…is pretty high-pitched, though there’s the misconception of her having a deeper voice based on her appearance. However, her voice does have a tendency to crack and become squeaky, especially when she SCREAMS .

Misaki is well aware of this fact and is quite ashamed/embarrassed of it.

2. How does she normally speak? Loud, soft, fast, evenly? Does she talk easily, or does she hesitate?
She tends to speak softly to people unless she gets annoyed/irritated/angry, in which she starts raising her voice and speaking faster than usual. She tends to say whatever's on her mind unless it has something to do with her personal life.

3. Does the character have a distinct accent or dialect? Any individual quirks of pronunciation? Any, like, you know, verbal tics?

4. What language/s does she speak, and with how much fluency?
Misaki is currently and only fluent in Japanese. She knows a few English words due to the Japanese commonly borrowing the words sometimes but other than that, she’s not really knowledgeable with English.

5. Does she switch languages or dialects in certain situations?
Sometimes she uses what she knows of English to make stupid jokes but she doesn’t really switch between languages.

6. Is she a good impromptu speaker, or does she have to think about her words?

7. Is she eloquent or inarticulate? Under what circumstances might this change?

Mental and Emotional
1. How intelligent is this character? Is she book-smart or street-smart?

2. Does she think on her feet, or does she need time to deliberate?

3. Describe the character's thought process. Is she more logical, or more intuitive? Idealistic or practical?

4. What kind of education has the character had?
Being born in the 1960s, her education is pretty outdated compared to the 2010s generation. She was studying in her last year of secondary school so she has basic knowledge of any young adult. Being in Japan, however, it wouldn't be surprising that she had to endure the intense studying and schoolwork of a Japanese high school.

5. What are her areas of expertise? What, if anything, is she interested in learning more about?
Being part of the Asou family, she's bound to know shitloads of folklore stuff, specifically about spirits. While its a definite that she'll know Japanese folklore-related stuff, it isn't guaranteed that she'll know about Western folklore tales and what not. Unlike her father and brother, however, she isn't interested in becoming a folkorist. She'd rather live a normal life, undisturbed by the possible danger of spirits.

6. Is she an introvert or an extrovert?
Misaki is a big time extrovert compared to her friends.

7. Describe the character's temperament. Is she even-tempered or does she have mood swings? Cheerful or melancholy? Laid-back or driven?
Although Misaki is a genuinely nice person, her temper…is not as even tempered as some people expect her to be, as much as she tries to deny it. She does try to control her temper at times but she occasionally snaps back at people whenever there’s something about them that’s pestering her; for example, Madoka’s constant worry over everything.

8. How does she respond to new people or situations? Is she suspicious, relaxed, timid, enthusiastic?
Unlike the timid Madoka and the seemingly aloof Ruka, Misaki has no problems speaking with new people. She usually tries to act polite to them first before reverting to her original personality, something her mother has taught her that actually stuck with her.

9. Is she more likely to act, or to react?

10. Which is her default: fight or flight?

11. Describe the character's sense of humor. Does she appreciate jokes? Puns? Gallows humor? Bathroom humor? Pranks?

12. Does the character have any diagnosable mental disorders? If yes, how does she deal with them?

13. What moments in this character's life have defined her as a person?

14. What does she fear?
Due to her experiences as a child, Misaki has one known fears that she’s willing to be open about: anything medical related.

Due to Misaki’s diagnosis of Getsuyuu Syndrome in her childhood, the young girl had to be admitted into Rougetsu Hall in order to cure her illness. Unfortunately, this exposed her to possible experimentation for a possibly incurable disease and it was guaranteed that there was a chance she won’t make it out of the hospital alive. Her family knew this but they were desperate not to lose their only daughter. Now what did this have to do with the girl’s phobia of hospitals?

There were two main experiments that were attempted to cure the disease: brain surgery and music therapy. While Madoka and Ruka received music therapy, Misaki was chosen to receive brain surgery.

Being seven and much more innocent than she was now, along with the fact she had no idea what was going on, this event horribly traumatized the girl into being one of the few memories she wishes to repress. It was implied this occurred more than once during her stay so that led to more traumatizing and emotional scars (as well as surgery scars on her scalp). It was proven the surgeries did nothing but actually speed up the process of the disease as shown with one of the younger patients (who was only six at the time, oh dear lord) at Haibara Hospital, who eventually died of complications. Misaki heard about this happening and was deeply terrified whenever her turn came. While the nurses at the hospital tried to calm her down, it barely helped at all.
The experiments were so traumatizing, it developed Misaki’s distrust and phobia of hospitals to the point that she’d rather die than go to the emergency room. It’s also kind of the other reason Misaki refuses to work at a Pokecenter, bringing back horrible memories she wished she left back home (though she doesn't seem to mind staying in them for money issues). Of course, the only way you’ll possibly get her to go to a clinic or hospital is if her mother was there to push her to go. The only exception to this was her exploration of the Island to regain her lost memories, the sole event that returned all of Misaki’s memory of the island back to her.

She also has a fear of mirrors, being a symptom of Getsuyuu Syndrome and all. She’s not willing to look at herself in the mirror for an extended amount of time, due to being afraid of her ‘blooming’ face. She’s seen it a couple of times as a child, once as a young adult and she’s never revisiting that again.

15. What are her hopes or aspirations?

16. What is something she doesn't want anyone to find out about her?
Basically her entire childhood. Even Misaki is not so sure what exactly went on in her childhood but it doesn't mean she's ok with people even making assumptions of whatever went on. The only people she could excuse with knowing her childhood are her family (obviously) and the rest of the Kidnapped Girls.

Relationships
1. Describe this character's relationship with her parents.

Misaki’s….not really good in touch with her mother. After Rougetsu Island, her mother was absolutely strict on her, afraid that she was going to get taken away again and die like most of the members of her family. While that was completely understandable, Misaki never understood her mother’s motives for being so protective and developed a rebellious part of her personality. While that went away by the time she reached 17, she still had a habit of not listening to her mother about anything. Despite that whole situation, the two obviously cared for each other in some way.

Misaki's father, on the other hand, happened to kind of spoil Misaki as she was growing up, something Misaki and her mother were quite annoyed of, but the two do care for each other as well.

2. Does the character have any siblings? What is/was their relationship like?
Misaki has one blood sibling—her younger twin brother, Yuu Asou. While Misaki looked quite older than her actual age, Yuu looked slightly younger than his actual age, adding to the misconception that Yuu is Misaki’s younger brother by an unknown amount of years.
Even though they were twins, they didn’t have a close relationship like everyone expected. Misaki and Yuu spent their time connecting with their own friends instead. They do care for one another, however.

3. Are there other blood relatives to whom she is close? Are there ones she can't stand?
Here is another complicated part of Misaki's life:

The Asou family has been known to be completely involved with the spiritual aspects of life ever since Kunihiko Asou started developing the Camera Obscura, a device that allows regular people to view the deceased's spirits. However ever since the creation of his inventions, strange and unexpected disappearances and deaths have occurred within the family for generations; Kunihiko's face was implied to have ended the same way in his later years. Misaki's generation is no exception to this.

After growing up dealing with her family drama, Misaki practically has no sincere feelings about anyone in her extended family. I mean, she used to give a big deal but now it probably won't give any major effect on her life considering how she gave up on making a relationship with any family member. Whether it was a part of her tough act or it's just her being cold isn't explained.

4. Are there other, unrelated people whom she considers part of her family? What are her relationships with them?
Misaki, without a doubt, considers Madoka as her sister, as much as she hates confessing it. They’ve been practically best friends since childhood. While Misaki presumably had friends back at Mainland Japan, the girl befriended Madoka and was her only friend at the time. Now, Misaki was a very nice and caring person back then and was rather protective over Madoka, usually comforting her whenever Ayako gave her trouble; this was before she met Sakuya, however. When Misaki decided to visit Sakuya more than she played with Madoka, the little girl thought Madoka would understand since her visits with Sakuya were really limited while the two girls could spend time with each other whenever they wanted.

Unfortunately, Madoka never realized why Misaki would rather spend time with Sakuya more than she wanted to play with Madoka and has always believed Sakuya was just stealing Misaki away (keep in mind that they were around six or seven at the time and that Madoka didn’t have any friends until she met Misaki and Ruka).

5. Who is/was the character's best friend? How did they meet?
Things…get complicated here.

In a way, both Madoka and Sakuya/Miya are her best friends for different reasons.

Misaki met Madoka at Rougetsu Hall when they were both taken there to be treated for Getsuyuu Syndrome. Now, these two girls could be seen as polar opposites: Madoka was a timid, socially awkward girl who didn't have any friends on the island while Misaki was a more outgoing, strong social butterfly who probably has way more friends in Mainland Japan. However, Misaki took sympathy for Madoka's extreme shyness and weak nature and befriended her, becoming Madoka's first friend. Of course, this had an impact for Madoka and soon, feelings of clinginess and even an extreme form of obsessive behavior formed within Madoka, which was later declared to be a symptom of the disease. This sort of behavior worsened after Misaki met Sakuya/Miya to the point Madoka felt like a replacement friend for the woman in their later years.
While their friendship may seem one-sided because Madoka seemed to be the only one giving a shit in the relationship, Misaki had always cared for and even been protective over Madoka. Felt like a sister-sister relationship, you know? While this was most evident during their childhood, it wasn't shown quite often as they grew up as Misaki was developing her "tough-girl" personality. To this day since Rougetsu Island, however, Misaki still mourns the loss of her friend, still blaming herself for her death. And then she goes to sleep and wakes up to a manor covered in snow with children singing, "Sleep Priestess, Lie in Peace..."

On the other hand, Misaki met Sakuya in her isolated room at Rougetsu Hall when her curiosity got the better of her. Now Sakuya didn't want the girl to come near her for the young girl's sake but you see, Misaki just wouldn't stop coming to see her. Misaki was a pretty rebellious little girl back then and Sakuya eventually got used to that and has grown to like Misaki's company. As both of the girls had such strong sixth sense, Sakuya related to Misaki about the problems she's face with her 6th sense and acted as some kind of older sister towards the young girl, even giving her favorite doll to Misaki during their last meeting: This is where the 'Miya' part of their friendship came in. After Misaki was forbidden to never meet with Sakuya ever again in order to keep their lives out of danger, Misaki turned to Miya for comfort as her disease worsened and took her everywhere; she even talked to the doll a few occasions. While this indeed help with her sickness, it kind of strained her relationship with Madoka, who already had an extreme attachment to Misaki.
This all changed when Misaki was taken to act as Kanade for the Rougetsu Kagura in an attempt to cure the current generation's diagnosis of Getsuyuu. Because Misaki had a tendency to bring Miya everywhere she went, she took Miya with her when she had to perform and accidentally left her behind, unable to get her back. Misaki lost all of her childhood memories on the island at this point, which included Sakuya/Miya, so she didn't realize what had happened until seven years later when she found Miya where she dropped her. All of the memories of Sakuya and Miya that she had lost came flowing back to her and for the first time ever since that day, she was able to properly express her sorrow and cried before collapsing into a dream-like state as Sakuya did years ago.

TL;DR, Misaki's two best friends are Madoka and Sakuya for complicated reasons. So complicated, I can't even explain it.

6. Does she have other close friends?
She doesn't want to admit it but Ruka counts as a close friend.
It's not that she doesn't like her or anything but she's just not as open about it compared to her friendship with Madoka.

7. Does she make friends easily, or does she have trouble getting along with people?

8. Which does she consider more important: family or friends?

9. Is the character single, married, divorced, widowed? Has she been married more than once?
She's single but she's been in a few relationships.

10. Is she currently in a romantic relationship with someone other than a spouse?
No.

11. Who was her first crush? Who is her latest?
Misaki's first crush was probably some random boy she met in her childhood, nothing too significant. She might've had a slight crush on Choushiro Kirishima because he seemed to be that kind of ideal guy every woman wants: manly, handsome, noble, kind, great with kids etc..  Only problems with that, however, is 1.) There's a huuuuuuuugggeee age gap between the two (Misaki was like seven when Choushiro was most likely in his 30s-40s so..), 2.) Choushiro had unrequited feelings for Sayaka, aka Ruka's mother, and 3.) Choushiro is dead.

12. What does she look for in a romantic partner?
While Misaki is a shallow person and tends to go after appearance more than character, she wants to find someone who she can actually open up to and not freak out at all the stuff she has to deal with on a daily basis (possible supernatural untimely death, family's supernatural drama, her occasional forgetfulness, the guilt of indirectly killing her best friend etc.) All the guys Misaki's been with tend to be the typical insensitive jerks who wanted Misaki for her body so it would be nice for her to end up meeting a nice guy for once.

13. Does the character have children? Grandchildren? If yes, how does she relate to them? If no, does she want any?
Being 17 and still a virgin, it's highly doubtful Misaki has any children, let alone any grandchildren. While she has no plans on receiving any children as of now, she's a bit soft around the children and wouldn't mind having any later on in her life.

14. Does she have any rivals or enemies?
Because of her charming personality, Misaki has a few friends back home who don't agree on how she acts (usually her bitchiness or coldness is what does it to people). Misaki doesn't really care though cause haters gonna hate.

A notable one, however, is Ayako, whom she's met on Rougetsu Island when she was getting treated. They....didn't really like each other for different reasons: Ayako didn't like the fact Misaki somehow knew everything due to her 6th sense and even labeled her as her 'least favorite toy'. Misaki, on the other hand, didn't like the fact Ayako picked on Madoka so easily and has caused so much suffering on the poor girl such as cutting her pet bird's head off and pushing her down the stairs (requiring Madoka to get stitches on her forehead). The two pretty much got into each other's ways before Misaki left Rougetsu Island for good, losing any trace of memory of the conflict between the two.

The two eventually had a...pleasant reunion 10 years later.

15. What is the character's sexual orientation? Where does she fall on the Kinsey scale?
I'd say she's a 2 ('Predominantly heterosexual, but more than incidentally homosexual'). While she's mainly into men, she doesn't seem to mind viewing women as attractive or doing implied suggestive things with them.

Nope, not too suggestive at all. (I know Miya is a doll shhhh)

16. How does she feel about sex? How important is it to her?
As sexually suggestive she may seem to some people, Misaki doesn't want sex because she'll get pregnant and die

Sex leads to getting pregnant and being pregnant leads to having kids. In Misaki's case, it means producing more Asou babies.
Since Misaki's been "neglecting" her family's death count, she feels that until she fully accepts her family's "curse", she won't have her own kids in fear of neglecting them due to her pessimistic attitude about the Asou family. This means she's not willing to have any kind of sex until she feels she's mentally ready to take responsibility and accept her family's fate.

17. What are her turn-ons? Turn-offs? Weird bedroom habits?
Well, it isn't exactly hinted within the storyline as the characters aren't really that developed but she seems to be into whatever teenage girls are into these days, especially hot guys. She also probably likes cute moe girls like Madoka -cough cough-

As for turn offs, pretty much being a jerkface for no reason and anything medical/hospital/doctor related. Seriously, if you're a doctor or a surgeon, chances are she will never be into you. You would have to try very, very, very, very, very, very hard to get her to just fall in love you first.

I don't know if this counts a weird bedroom habit but whenever she's alone or thinks she's alone, she has a tendency to pat her cheeks repeatedly. She's been doing this since she was 7 when she had chubby cheeks. Her cheeks aren't so chubby no more but it doesn't stop her from doing it.

Beliefs
1. Do you know your character's astrological (zodiac of choice) sign? How well does she fit type?
Misaki's birthday isn't exactly known within the game other than the year but headcanon says she was born in July 13, 1963, having a birthdate at least before September of 1963. This makes her astrological zodiac sign Leo and her Chinese Zodiac the Rabbit.

2. Is this character religious, spiritual, both, or neither? How important are these elements in her life?
It's kind of hard not to be spiritual when your whole family is practically involved with spirtual aspects of life, as well as having a strong 6th sense that comes along with it.

3. Does this character have a personal code of morals or ethics? If so, how did that begin? What would it take to compromise it?

4. How does she regard beliefs that differ from hers? Is she tolerant, intolerant, curious, indifferent?

5. What prejudices does she hold? Are they irrational or does she have a good reason for them?
While she's not too open on most of her prejudices, she doesn't even try to hide her prejudice towards doctors, nurses and especially surgeons. She doesn't care if you are the nicest person in the world, she will start to judge you and your life choices, even if it's for good intentions.
It's been explained already but due having to deal with repeated attempts of brain surgery as a little girl, as well as possibly knowing most the secret experiments that occurred within the hospital performed by the people who her family entrusted her life to, it's just become very hard for Misaki to trust any doctors/nurse/surgeons at all.
To be honest, the only people she felt truly safe with during her stay at the hospital were the nurses, mainly Shie and Fuyuko. In Misaki's eyes, they were the only people who seemed to show true concern for the patients instead of experimental guinea pigs. However, after they tried to kill her as spirits when Misaki returned to the island, her view of them pretty much changed from "oh, you're ok" to "oh ok, fuck you too." This might seem unfair but having the only people you could trust with your life back then just abruptly try to kill you would change her feelings a bit.

Daily Life
1. What is the character's financial situation? Is she rich, poor, comfortable, in debt?
Her family’s pretty rich, being the Asou family and all. It wouldn’t be a surprise Misaki’s been pampered all her life though she had to learn to be somewhat independent since she was expected to be married off or at least move out one day.

2. What is her social status? Has this changed over time, and if so, how has the change affected her?

3. Where does she live? House, apartment, trailer? Is her home her castle or just a place to crash? What condition is it in? Does she share it with others?

4. Besides the basic necessities, what does she spend her money on?
Back home, clothes. Most likely clothes. Misaki was a very fashionable girl.
After her experience at Rougetsu Island and the fact she's still dealing with her recovered memories and the loss of her friend, she's pretty much stopped shopping around for clothes like a snobby spoiled rich girl and pretty much used her money on other important stuff, like food and what not. Sometimes she uses her money to buy gifts for the remaining close friends she's got and by remaining close friends, I mean Ruka.

5. What does she do for a living? Is she good at it? Does she enjoy it, or would she rather be doing something else?
Misaki is a part-time plumber. No kidding.

In all serious, Misaki probably hasn't worked a day in her life before coming to Route for reasons that don't need to be explained. After arriving to Johto, however, Misaki realized she needed to start working in order to get money rather than depending on her family so, while she travels occasionally, she usually stays in one city for a while before moving around so she can get money. While her job varies, she knows she isn't going to work at the Pokecenter yet, that's for sure.

6. What are her interests or hobbies? How does she spend her free time?

7. What are her eating habits? Does she skip meals, eat out, drink alcohol, avoid certain foods?
As a little girl, she absolutely loved to eat sweet desserts, which kind of made her a little chubby as a little girl. Now, while she still enjoys them, she only has them once in a while, possibly as a way to watch her figure as she isn't active enough to afford constantly eating them.
Other than that, her diet consists of a usual Japanese person's diet.

Associations
Which of the following do you associate with the character, or which is her favorite:

1. Color? I usually associate her with black, white, grays and blue (technically the only color)
2. Smell? Either sea water smell, in relation to the first character of her name, or old book smell due to her family's known folklorist ties.
3. Time of day? Early Evening
4. Season? She prefers summer but I usually associate her with late summer, early autumn because FF4 reasons.
5. Book? Favorite would be The Decay of the Angel (天人五衰)
6. Music? Obviously, the song she's associated with is "The Tune of ZERO" (ゼロの調律). It was seen as a theme song for the entire series but it contains some themes concerning with Misaki's game.
7. Place? Islands or just anywhere with a beach.
8. Substance?
9. Plant? Obviously associated with Higanbanas.
10. Animal?
